I just taught Lil Bit that she too is a Leo - represented by the royal and regal Lion...while teaching her that [Daddy is an] Aquarius' and the sign was the waterbearer. It's nice to know he's an air sign. No wonder it's all about feeding the fire and sparking our passions! The air feeding the fire...so to speak. [Uh. For good OR bad...? Heh!]

I'd also like to add, being a Leo myself, that I had a friend who shared how people like being around me. I have noticed a tendency for people to gravitate toward me. So I made a joke, "Well the sun *is* the center of the universe and the planets all surround it." LoL But then I realized that earth is seeking the warmth of the sun. Were it not for the sun, the plants wouldn't grow and we would not survive.

Thus. My conclusion is that Leo's as their star sign being the Sun, play a pivotal role in relationships and the people who surround them. They are - or can be - a source of nourishment and sustenance. They can make or influence people to shine and be the best *they* can be. I think this is one trait where Leo's are special.

I also want to thank everyone for my well received Birthday wishes while I am on the subject.

Many of you didn't know I was out of state visiting my family for my birthday. It was really nice but the Florida sun has been quite torturous recently and I would winter elsewhere while living there, so I never really did experience Florida summer. Until now. Wicked hot! No kidding. The pool, normally refreshing, was almost a warm bath water. BUT on the bright side, I rode Sheikra @ Busch Gardnes and pix will be forthcoming I am sure! Thanks everybody! Your wishes and thoughts and links and e-cards meant a lot. Thanks you so much. A really nice surprise to come home to tonight. {{hugs}}

This painting, by Josephine Wall, was dedicated to me by my friend Bohemian-Spirit.

It's a vibrant painting of Leo the Lion seemingly leading a strong woman carrying a torch, among the magic.

The bright colors and colorful sunscape are an energetic splendor. The Leo is a sun sign and it's a summer astrological sign so I do love the sunflowers in the field and dressing the woman.

It took me a while to notice the Leo constellation in the sky but there it is with the sparkling stars...the same sparkling stars surrounding the magical Lion.

Perhaps Leo the Lion manifested from the heavens to earth to empower and protect the young woman as she fearlessly and courageously ventures on with her torch ablaze.
