Nevada Center for Missing Loved Ones, a non-profit organization, will help search, locate and reunite, regardless of age, reported missing loved ones with their families. We will use our resources and volunteers to assist local and national agencies to search, identify and reunite people reported missing in Nevada. Well good. People seem to forget that adults - not just kids - go missing and vanishing as well. Glad to see this.

I'm the biggest child-free advocate I know...Fighting for the non-discriminatory practices and social UN-assumptions of the voluntarily child-free everywhere I go; Raising social consciousness that no, it's *not* unfortunate I don't have kids, since you asked and assumed all in one breath, with the *why* being that I never saw the point of them. Plain enough?

However. Just as I expect NON-Maternal justice, I would also expect maternal justice. I think this site is a nifty as hell idea. Amen.

Use "Thumbs Up" to Plant Trees
From now until May 2nd!

start here by clicking and thumbing up

From the SU blog:

Now you can plant a tree for Earth Day without digging! Join us in harnessing the power of the "Thumbs Up" to plant trees for the National Forest Foundation. Simply visit stumbleupon.com/earthday and use your toolbar to thumbs-up the page and, from now through May 2, with every thumbs-up, StumbleUpon will plant a tree with help from the National Forest Foundation. Your thumbs-up means more trees for America's National Forests and more visibility for this cause.

Please give a Thumbs Up for Trees and pass this along to anyone you know who appreciates our National Forests, and green things in general.

Thanks! The SU Team

Looks can be Deceiving

A really offensive-to-the-senses looking site design with some of the best activist information I have found packed into one site by one person. Not a blog [thank God] but many articles nevertheless that seem to remain static unless he feels the need to update or add to them.

Everything from fighting spambots to police brutality and how to change a bicycle tire and green living... this site's got it. A really worthwhile site.

If you thumb it up, please use appropriate tags. This site is not *about* bicycling. Goodness. [Just because it has bicycle links...]

"Despite a lack of independent research on TASER safety, police officers are using these weapons as a routine force tool -- rather than as a weapon of last resort," said Dr. William F. Schulz, Executive Director of Amnesty International USA (AIUSA). "These weapons have a record that's growing longer each week -- and it's not a good one. The increasingly frequent TASER-related deaths underscore the need for an independent, rigorous and impartial inquiry into their use." Ban Tasers
