A gay Iranian torture victim speaks. The image to the left is what happened.
This article is from September 2005, but it's still relevent. From the page...
Amir is a 22-year-old gay Iranian who was arrested by Iran's morality police as part of a massive Internet entrapment campaign targeting gays. He was beaten and tortured while in custody, threatened with death, and lashed 100 times (see photos). He escaped from Iran in August, and is now in Turkey, where he awaits the granting of asylum by a gay-friendly country.

"A man should first direct himself in the way he should go. Only then should he instruct others." - Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.
This reminds me of the attributed-to-Jesus-of-Nazareth quote in the Bible [rephrased]: "How are you concerned with the speck in your brother's eye when you have a plank so glaring in yours?" [See here for a humorous take on that.]
I also happen to think that once the plank is removed from my eye then I'd more clearly be able to see. So maybe there never was a speck in *your* eye to start with! ;)
Common sense is a good gauge here. If you've not been able to successfully navigate *your* path, how can you help me navigate mine? I always have this thought in the forefront of my life when I see engineers of train wrecks called their life, try to unsolicitedly help me with a problem I may be having... I don't want to end up wrecked like them so why would I want to abide their instruction?

Jordan is a little boy with a touching story. From the page...Jordan Taylor is a little boy whose life is nothing short of a miracle. In June of 2006, two-year old Jordan nearly drowned in the family pool. Blue and lifeless, he was rushed to the hospital where he was CLINICALLY DEAD for over an hour. The site is asking for you to sign a petition so Jordan's family can get a new home on ABC'S "EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION". There *may* be other worthy recipients so I just signed the petition [#24650] with hope that ABC would consider his story as a basis for worthiness. I did not sign the petition to the exclusion of anyone else who ABC feels to be more worthy, so I hope everyone approaches it that way.

Are you a Highly Sensitive Person [HSP]? A quite thorough set of questions to ask yourself if you may be HSP
- I am easily overwhelmed by strong sensory input.
- I seem to be aware of subtleties in my environment.
- Other people's moods affect me.
- I tend to be very sensitive to pain.
- I find myself needing to withdraw during busy days, into bed or into a darkened room or any place where I can have some privacy and relief from stimulation.
- I am particularly sensitive to the effects of caffeine.
- I am easily overwhelmed by things like bright lights, strong smells, coarse fabrics, or sirens close by.
- I have a rich, complex inner life.
- I am made uncomfortable by loud noises.
- I am deeply moved by the arts or music.
- My nervous system sometimes feels so frazzled that I just have to get off by myself.
- I am conscientious.
- I startle easily.
- I get rattled when I have a lot to do in a short amount of time.
- When people are uncomfortable in a physical environment I tend to know what needs to be done to make it more comfortable (like changing the lighting or the seating).
- I am annoyed when people try to get me to do too many things at once.
- I try hard to avoid making mistakes or forgetting things.
- I make a point to avoid violent movies and TV shows.
- I become unpleasantly aroused when a lot is going on around me.
- Being very hungry creates a strong reaction in me, disrupting my concentration or mood.
- Changes in my life shake me up.
- I notice and enjoy delicate or fine scents, tastes, sounds, works of art.
- I find it unpleasant to have a lot going on at once.
- I make it a high priority to arrange my life to avoid upsetting or overwhelming situations.
- I am bothered by intense stimuli, like loud noises or chaotic scenes.
- When I must compete or be observed while performing a task, I become so nervous or shaky that I do much worse than I would otherwise.
- When I was a child, my parents or teachers seemed to see me as sensitive or shy.

Going to sleep at night is God's way of allowing us to have new resolutions every morning we awake. I wish more people would take this vantage as opposed to waiting for the earth's rotation to complete a sun cycling.

Re Article: "Sugar, Stone or ...?"
This article was written by someone, it seems, who has not delved too deeply into INFP-ness or people who are empathic [ie, the "Sponge" that is referenced.]
Being empathic [ie, absorbent] is not a reason - or *the* reason one is "a victim." Stone people, also, may be impervious to their surroundings but I have seen more victims of the "Stone typology" than "Sponge's."
I'm glad this person is blogging but this is just a fine example of everything on the internet cannot be taken as truth or a good assessment.
Many HSP's [Highly Sensitive People by way of Highly Sensory Perceptions] cannot help but absorb. They *sponge* electricity, moods, feelings, etc but how this makes them a "victim" in society is not explained in this article. "Victim mentality" is an attitude, not a condition and I think this is just one way this article falls extremely short.

My friend NC2K had a glowing review of this PayPerPost complete with tag "rent-a-thought" and I had to laugh. I signed up with PayPerPost back when I thought I would turn into a *Blogger* instead of the artistic genius I have culminated into instead. [Read: Could not sell out.] I also signed up with "ReviewMe" and blah blah blah. Turns out...if you have a PR of a high number...these guys REALLY wanna make it to your site right? Well. I get these notices so and so wants me to write an article. I keep thinking, "The money's decent." But then I always seem to fail to "Accept" the offer.
Perhaps *real bloggers* can make use of this in a consumer activist way but I'm kinda moving away from commercial activism and into social activism. There doesn't seem to be a market of PayperPost's and ReviewMe's in this arena. But if there were, I still couldn't whore out my opinions you know? They'd have to be honest and what person paying ME to get on my PR ___ page wants an HONEST assessment? Haha. They just want on and no damage to accompany it.

When you put in a word at the Dreamlines site, it pulls [probably the first image Google brings up - though not tested] an image from Google images and slowly begins to "draw" it - as if in a dream. Through a series of colors and scratches [similar to the Leonardo auto-sketch machines] it renders your chosen topical word into a "Dreamy" image, like above.

the painting is this artists rendition of "hyper-sensory perception" or HSP. I appreciate the explanation on HSP because that's more amenable to the HSP a la Highly Sensitive Person than the "emotionally sensitive" I have tried counter-addressing and have seen counter-addressed. [The term is another story I imagine.] The art on this page each has a story and I'm intrigued with the stories or how they came to be.
