Man decorates his basement by drawing on the walls with only a black magic marker.

[and bypass the nonsensical, redundant and inexplicable SU version] A very interesting TED talk by Barry Schwartz in which he discusses choice equaling freedom equaling happiness... Or does it? Can it eventuate into a paradox?
- Shot by police, bashed by Palin
Oct 6, 1:00am (158 reviews) liberties, journalism, rights, police-brutality, police-state http://www.downtownexpress.com/de_280/sh...- A journalist shares his story how he was beaten by police outside the Republican National Convention. As to a reviewers comment [sort of] defending the police actions by asking how would the police know whether the guy was really a reporter or just some protester: The Right to Assembly is a right just as important as the right to a Free Press and the right to Free Speech. All three of these rights insure Americans can congregate and express ideas and listen and learn and that the government will not stop them. Since G.W.'s regime, however, it's been more practical in theory than in application due to the Patriot Act, the ever-increasing okey-doking of police using tasers and excessive abuse, the "protection we need" and "rights we surrendered" out of "fear" of the terrorists... Police are getting away with abuse and our government is doing nothing to stop them; This tells me the government is okay with it.
"That night, Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin gave a speech, in part, attacking the media. I couldn't help but recall my treatment and think that, as Republicans were rhetorically bashing the press inside the convention hall, their minions were literally beating the press on the streets outside."

Oct 5, 9:01pm (18 reviews) politics http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-N...- From the page: "Republicans have promised to ramp up the rhetoric ahead of the November 4 election in a bid to arrest Senator McCain's recent dip in the polls following his role in delays to the $700bn economic bail-out."
Yeah. And anyone who falls for that would deserve McCain/Palin in the whitehouse. I like what EvilDuck said:"It is just desperate!! It's just name calling! That's what the GOP does! It's there favorite thing. Attack character, make stuff up, distract from their own incompetence."

Oct 5, 8:29pm (9 reviews) stumbleupon, su http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archi...- Hands on with the new Worthless SU Design
This article criticizes, with specific examples, the new SU toolbar-less experience. I joined the BETA forum today which switches one over to BETA proper - not to be confused with BETA "Alpha", the "improvement" over Classic - and as per Garrett's interview somewhere or other, it is this design that is to prepare for the toolbar-less experience. I lasted an hour after exploring. Although *this* BETA did not kill my eyes and hurt my brain [Like BETA Alpha does], it still was not the SU I know and once loved.
Please read BettyJoBradley's sentiments and particularly her last couple of lines; These are sentiments that many a Stumbler are feeling. She is not alone in her opinion.
I fear that SU is disintegrating in favor of trying to attain higher numbers (of users).
